Late for work

I have two special alarm clocks that usually go off around 7am every morning, sometimes earlier. They are so reliable that I haven’t set a traditional alarm clock in over 2 years. They are called Smith and Trey. Today I had to wake them up at 8:20. Mind you if I’m not out the door by 8:30 I can’t get the boys to daycare and myself to work on time. Needless to say I was pretty late this morning. If only I could get them to do that again on Saturday!

On the move

Smith started to really crawl this week. He's still slow, but he is definitely mobile. I'm sure next week I will be reminiscing of the days when we could put him down and he would stay put, but we are pretty excited right now.

Sweet Dreams

A little while ago I posted about a toy that Nate's parents gave Trey for Christmas. He carried it around ALL day after he got it. Well it's been almost 2 months and he still sleeps with it almost every night. (yellow conveyor belt) Thanks Grandpa!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Nate and I went out to a lovely dinner together, no kids, a couple nights ago. It was the only time we could find a baby sitter. So today we weren't really planning to celebrate. Nate spent the day snowboarding with my brother in-law Andrew. And I spent the day with the boys making the world's best sugar cookies ever! Soooo good.

Nate also surprised me with flowers when he came home, and cards from him and Trey. I was in the bedroom and I heard Nate tell Trey "give this to mom and give her a kiss." Trey walked into the room with the card behind his back, and his lips puckered. So cute! He was not so obedient when I tried to reenact the scene for a picture later on.
These two picture were taken by Trey. If think he's getting the hang of it.

The Cruise

In case anyone is still wondering, we made it! We went on the cruise and had an amazing time. And best of all, when we came home the kids were fine and happy to see us. Sorry if I left anyone hanging. It's been 3 weeks and we finally finished unpacking today, but I still don't feel like I have completely recovered from the trip.

Back to the cruise:

There were 7 couples, all Provo fireman. We had a blast! Here most of us are playing cards.
Best part of a cruise is the food. Lots and lots of delicious food. This chocolate cake was especially tasty.

Chocolate buffet. Need I say more?
Can you believe the size of the this prime rib?! Probably one of the best stakes I've ever eaten. It makes me drool just to thinking about it.
Nate and I at Great Stirrup Cay.
Our ship, the Pearl.
Mountain bike trek through the jungle of Belize. We saw monkeys, ate termites and saw ants so big they could eat your face off. It was great!
Nicole, Me and Kate.

The whole group on a formal night. A few of the guys even wore their dress uniforms.

First day, leaving Miami
Safety drill on the first day. I look good in orange and reflective tape.

One great thing about this trip was getting a few pictures of Nate and I together. Seems like it usually just Nate and one of the boys or me and one of the boys. We hardly ever get our picture taken together.
