First Day of School x2

Trey started Pre-school this week. Twice.

First one was Tuesday at my next door neighbors house. He's been watching the other preschool kids play in her back yard all year. Now he finally gets to go too. It went great! I'm sure it helped that he knew some of the other kids and the teachers from the neighborhood.

Second one started on friday. It was through Alpine school district. Few glitches with this one. Starting with the bus not showing up. We have been telling him all week about riding the bus, but it was not to be. He didn't want me to leave when we got there and wouldn't take off his back pack at all. After 30 mins I was finally able to sneak out. He seemed okay when I picked him up, until all the kids got on the bus except him. He had a little meltdown. We are hoping to have the bus thing worked out in time for preschool on Wednesday.

The teacher said he did "pretty good" I was feeling a little proud until she added "It will just take a few days for him to adjust". That doesn't sound good. The only other thing I could get out of her was, he was "a little stubborn". No surprise there.

How did that get there?

Smith is at a fun age right now. He likes to put things in other things. Usually it’s just toys into a bowl or blanket in a box, but sometimes he gets creative. This week I have found the following things in weird places:

A little peoples person in the fridge
Hotwheels in the towel drawer
Broccoli in my purse
My wallet in the trash can
My cell phone in the Kitchen Aid
His bottle in the potty chair (don’t worry, I threw it away)

So fun!

That's Hot

When Nate and I met I thought being a Fire Fighter was pretty hot. It's been almost 8 years and I still think so.

Birthday Boy!

Yeah! He's a year old! We kept it pretty low key this time. Smith, Trey and I went to Toys R' Us to pick out birthday presents while Nate got dinner and a cake ready.
Trey got a toy too. He picked a Super Why costume. So cute!

Feeding Dad some of his cake.He made a big mess with the cake.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY little man! We love having this guy in our family.
