Things went pretty well. We watched a movie and even played with the dogs outside for a bit. At 8 o'clock things got tricky. Smith was ready for his usual evening 2 hour marathon feeding. I had to drag Trey back inside and into the bath, then I had to drag him kicking and screaming out of the bath. Then I gave him a big glass of sour milk, oops! Then we read books while I was holding Smith. Big mistake. Trey kept poking him in the eye and pulling on his feet. So we said prayers and put Trey to bed while Smith cried in the other room (at least he was safe).
I finally got Smith to bed at 10:30. Luckily he slept soundly until 5am. However, thanks to the sour milk Trey did not. Hopefully tonight will go better.

Oh, man! I'm sorry. I'm no grandma or grandpa, but if you ever need a hand, you know my number.
Also- at first I didn't notice the "oops" and I thought you had given Trey sour milk as a punishment for being a pain about his bath. I probably should have been horrified, but instead I laughed and thought "Wow! Julie is really creative with discipline!"
I feel for you, evenings are hard for me when we're both home. I hope you find a way to make it easier, maybe wearing Smith in a sling would help. I tried that but got a crappy sling that wasn't what I wanted. I will get a wrap for my next baby, BEFORE I have him or her. I've seen a lot of ideas for babywearing online lately, it seems like a good help for adjusting. Hyrum is super heavy now, so it isn't as nice now. You could totally make a sling out of fabric you have laying around.
I still feel like I'm adjusting to two kids some days.
I don't count sending him to daycare as cheating. He probably had a great day there, and you were able to get some sleep. It does get easier balancing the schedules of two kids. I have not experienced this first hand. It is just what people keep telling me, so I pass it along.
I second the sling idea (even though I don't have two kids and have no idea if it'll work). I just loved mine. She was in it sooo much the first few months!
Holy cow Smith really feeds for two hours!!!!!!!! That is craziness. Gwenners ate for 5 min. tops. She was gulping it down the whole time though, Smith just must love to savor it. :)
It will get easier, I promise :) You are an awesome mom! Good luck!
Yes, he really does eat for 2 hours. Usually once a day, sometimes more. Not so fun for me. I don't remember it being like that with Trey, but maybe it was.
